Favorite quote from the book: “Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” Pablo Picasso, PageĀ  40.

What did we like about it?

  • It provides a very different perspective on the kind of business Tim Ferris recommends to have (The new rich).
  • Tim Ferris has a lot of resources you can use.
  • The book is an easy read.
  • He provides great insight on how to eliminate duties that are time consuming (and someone else can do).
  • It teaches how to concentrate and organize time to minimize the amount of time spent working.
  • Tim Ferris recommends some other books. We have read a few and they were awesome!
  • You will only check emails twice a day after reading the book!
  • You will learn about outsourcing your work.
  • You will be influenced to create a plan to either start working from home or to start your own business.

What we didn’t like?

  • We thought it was a bit long for the idea covered.
  • There are too many references -Make sure to bookmark as you go so you can refer back.

The Shortness of Life -Click here to read reviews from Amazon

Favorite quote from the book: “The condition of all who are engrossed is wretched, but most wretched is the condition of those who labour at engrossments that are not even their own, who regulate their sleep by that of another, their walk by the pace of another, who are under orders in case of the freest things in the world–loving and hating. If these wish to know how short their life is, let them reflect how small a part of it is their own” Page 26.

What did we like?

  • Very philosophical.
  • Lots of statements that will make you evaluate your life.
  • Short read (Easy to add one more book to your library).
  • Very good source to highlight phrases and any day come back and read one by one (We still go back and read them every now and then).
  • It will change your way of thinking.
  • It will make you evaluate your current situation (For the better).

What we didn’t like?

  • Its not easy to read (This can also be a pro depending on your skills).
  • You may have to re-read some pages to understand the point.
  • We had to use the dictionary often (This could also be a pro).

Start Something That Matters -Click here to read more reviews on Amazon

Favorite quote from the book: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” –Mark Twian Page 48

What did we like?

  • Amazing and inspiring story.
  • It shows a great way of having a for profit business while helping a social cause.
  • Great quotes all over the book.
  • It makes you evaluate your current capacity and maybe what you should be doing instead.
  • Shows that entrepreneurs will make it one day as long as they keep on trying.
  • Shows you the power of helping.
  • Easy read.

What we didn’t like:

  • Not the best writer (granted his idea is very clear).
  • At times it feels like a research paper.
